Life can be tough for young people in these situations, with stigma, poverty, and challenges at home often affecting their education, confidence, and future prospects. Scottish Families’ Routes service works with 12–26-year-olds, providing one-to-one support, group meet-ups, and day trips that combat isolation, build confidence, and encourage positive steps toward education and employment.
This funding will contribute to the organisations dedicated education support, helping young people overcome barriers to their learning. The Routes team offers practical, hands-on support, from arranging college placements to cheering young people on as they achieve qualifications like food hygiene certificates or Youth Dynamic Awards. This long-term, consistent guidance can make a lasting difference, empowering young people to achieve their goals and build brighter futures.
This vital work is made possible thanks to the incredible players of the Scottish Children's Lottery. Your support allows charities like Scottish Families to change lives every day.
